Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of this website and to repair, diagnostic, programming and parts-supply services provided by ECMS and Spare Parts Ltd (“ECMS”, “we”, “us”). By sending us a request or engaging our services, you agree to them.

We provide diagnostics, repair, programming and calibration of ECMs, ECUs and machine monitors, and we supply spare parts for heavy machinery. Whether we can service a particular unit or supply a particular part is confirmed after we assess your request.

Caterpillar, Komatsu, JCB, Hitachi, Hyundai and Liebherr, and their logos, are trademarks of their respective owners. They are shown to indicate the equipment we service or supply parts for. ECMS is an independent business and is not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by these manufacturers.

Quotes are given in Kenya Shillings (KSh) and are estimates based on the information you provide. The final price is confirmed after physical diagnostics, and we will ask for your approval before carrying out work beyond the agreed scope. Applicable taxes are added where they apply.

Our standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from receipt of your unit, and expedited service is available on request. These are estimates, not guarantees: parts availability and the complexity of the fault can affect timing.

You are responsible for packing your unit securely for transport to us. We take reasonable care when packing it for return, but we are not responsible for damage caused by couriers in transit.

Our repairs are covered by a workmanship warranty against the recurrence of the specific fault we repaired, for as long as the repaired unit remains in the machine it came from and is used and maintained correctly.

The warranty does not cover new physical or water damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, faults elsewhere in the machine, or faults unrelated to the original repair. Warranty claims are assessed case by case.

Payment is due when the work is complete and before the unit is released or shipped back, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including machine downtime or lost income, arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.

We work to keep the information on this website accurate, but it is provided for general information and may change without notice. Product images are illustrative. Please use the request form only for genuine enquiries.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Kenya.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to services requested after the “Last updated” date.
